if it is rusted real bad then yes you should fix it or get a new one and i would not wait any longer cause if the gas gets out then you have a bigger problem

If it is a furnace, there is a metal air drop and a furnace, the air would be going into the furnace from the duct

It could be caused by any number of things. 1. A low battery 2. blown or bad resistor block 3. bad switch 4. bad fan motor. 5. partially blocked cowl (the area, usually under the windshield where the air comes in) 6. blocked interior vents or duct work

If you have an auto change set it to Cool only mode. Check your furnace filter. If its plugged up this can be an issue. With 55 degree discharge air the system should be working. However, the unknow factor is the heat gain. Leave it set at 73 for one day and see what it does when you come home. If it 73 when you get home problem solved. The issue could system just does not have enough capacity (tonage) to over come the load factor (heat) or its doing its job and the issue is really in the attic. Poorly vent ed roofs can cause this couple with poor insulation. More often when I run into a issue like this and everything checks out, I suggest that the home owner install a power roof vent. In 99% of the cases I have ran into this has solved the problem.

For you to repair it ,yes it's possible. If it's a bad compressor you will need to flush the system out. If you are really considering repairing it yourself I suggest you get yourself a do it yourself A/C manual to help guide you through those kinda repairs. sounds like the duct work may be lose. if you access to it, check and see if it's moving when the heat starts up. If it is, just go to your local home center and get some straps and secure it to the joists. if it's coming apart, you will need to slide the two pieces back together and secure the seam with duct tape.

Hi there, I agree with Debbie G and her hubby, I had a very high mileage Y plate Mondeo for over a year and had no problems with the Power Steering pump. The hand barke is dead easy and I have never known a driver seat motor go. If it did it may be quicker to get a new seat from a scrap car through the internet than trying to do the motor. Good luck.

yea that clicking comes out of your compressor the one that has the pulley mounted on it and that wont work unless it has the a/c gas in the accumulator so just but the gas cans i will say about two and fill her up and see if it starts rotating, as soon as it does it will shoot out cold brisky air

That is a low preasure hose he attached the freon can to....it also leads to the compressor..dont guess ..get it to a hvac mechanic....trying to recharge the air can be dangerous

Ok, you say it is not cooling as it should. Last year, did it cool better? I am lazy, so let's check a few things before we throw money at it. How cold is the air coming out of the vents and how cold is the air going into the air intake..use a thermometer. A good system can creat a differential of 15 or more degrees. Much over 20 degrees and yes, the air is blocked due to restricted air filter or clogged evaporator. Next,,do outside to the condensor..the outside unit. Has grass grown into or is dirt clogging the cooling fins. THey must be straight and dirt free to transfer heat. Near the house you will see to copper lines going into the house. Large ..3/4 to 1" and small,,3/8". The small line should be 10-15 degrees abover ambient temperature and the large line quite cool and sweating. If the large line is not sweating or just cool, and ever thing else checks out OK, the system needs recharging with probably R 22. Good Luck
